Curious Commuter — Delete your account and data

Delete from the app
1. Open Settings → Account (or Profile → Sign In/Account).
2. Choose Delete account and data.
3. Enter your unique account password, or verify the same social sign-in provider again.
4. Type DELETE and choose Permanently delete my account.
Stop an active recording first. Shared tester passwords are not accepted for irreversible deletion; reset to a unique password or contact support. A provider verification must be recent and belong to the same account. Signing in to a different account cancels the original form.
This permanently removes your account, account-owned cloud recordings, profile/saved places, commute metadata, trip analyses, queued processing and account-linked diagnostics. The app removes records belonging to the deleted account from the phone used to complete the request and signs it out. Other accounts are preserved.
This action is different from clearing the trip cache. Clearing cache removes local calculated/downloaded summaries; your account and cloud recordings remain and can be loaded again.
If deletion fails partway through, some data may already have been removed. Retry the same account-deletion flow to finish, or contact support. Deleted records cannot be restored through the app.
Request deletion without the app
Email twikiastudios@gmail.com with:
- Subject: Curious Commuter account deletion
- The email or username used for your Curious Commuter account
- Whether you want the entire account deleted or need help with a particular record
We verify ownership before acting. Do not send your password, access token or full commute recordings. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request.
Copies and older data
Files you exported or shared elsewhere and data cached on other offline phones are not remotely erased by the action on this phone. Sign out and remove app data from those devices. Unassigned older device-only logs, developer test data and legacy files without reliable ownership need a support review. Deleting by shared device ID could remove another person's data, so the app does not do that. Operational deletion does not instantly erase managed backups or security/audit logs; these follow the providers' configured retention and applicable legal requirements.
